Yareli Martell leaves the Martell family to be with her boyfriend, Miley Cade. However, at the wedding, she faces humiliation from her future mother-in-law and romantic rival, Ivory Shone. The mother-in-law sees her as a powerless, poor girl and even tries to pay her off with a few hundred dollars. Yareli decides to call off the wedding, but Ivory takes the chance to mock her.
